The FBI conducted a raid on Linda Sun’s $3.5 million home in Manhasset, Long Island, earlier this week. Sun, a former aide to New York Governor Kathy Hochul, saw her five-bedroom residence searched by federal agents.
The FBI has not disclosed specific reasons for the raid. An FBI spokesperson only confirmed, “The FBI New York conducted court-authorized law enforcement activity in Manhasset.” Neither Sun, 40, nor her husband, Chris Hu, has been charged with any crime, and no arrests were made during the operation.
Lawyer Paul Mauro, a Fox News contributor, noted, “Although no official accusations have been made, a judge must have seen some indication of wrongdoing to authorize such an intrusive search.”
According to sources, the US Attorney’s office in Brooklyn obtained the search warrant. The residence, which was surrounded by law enforcement during the raid, was transferred to a trust by Sun and Hu earlier this year.
Before her role as deputy chief of staff under Hochul, Sun served in former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration, focusing on business development and diversity. Sun resigned from state service last year amid allegations of misconduct, while her husband operates a liquor store in Queens.
