Chris Evans has made a surprising return to the superhero world, reprising his role as Johnny Storm in Marvel’s new film, Deadpool & Wolverine, after a 17-year break. The actor shared his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity, calling it a memorable experience.

In a heartfelt Instagram Story, Evans thanked the film’s stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy for bringing him back into the fold. “Playing Johnny again was a dream come true,” Evans wrote. “Ryan, Hugh, and Shawn are three of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. Special thanks to Ryan for making it happen. Johnny Storm will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Evans, known to most fans as Steve Rogers/Captain America from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, previously portrayed Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four movies of the mid-2000s. His return in Deadpool & Wolverine surprised many, as expectations had been high for a possible Captain America cameo. Instead, Evans dazzles as the Human Torch, surprising even Deadpool with his fiery comeback.
