In the scorching heat of Delhi’s summer, a massive crowd descended upon the BJP’s rally site in Dwarka to hear Prime Minister Narendra Modi speak, despite the mercury soaring to a blistering 43.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
As Delhi simmered in the summer heat, supporters from across the city and neighboring regions gathered, adorned in saffron attire, displaying unwavering enthusiasm for the upcoming elections. Despite the sweltering conditions, their fervor remained undiminished.
Ankush Kumar, hailing from Gurgaon, shared his anticipation, arriving at the rally site early in the afternoon just to catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister. “I came here just to see the Prime Minister,” he exclaimed, echoing the sentiments of many in attendance.
The atmosphere was electric as chants of “Modi, Modi” and “Jai Shree Ram” reverberated through the air. Attendees, including women, joyously danced to the beat of drums, eagerly awaiting Modi’s arrival on stage. Flashlights illuminated the venue as supporters waved their mobile phones, chanting slogans in adulation.
Krishna Devi, who traveled from Shahdara, highlighted the diverse origins of the attendees, emphasizing the national significance of Modi’s address. “Not only from Delhi, people have arrived from different parts of the country to listen to PM Modi’s speech,” she remarked, underscoring the widespread appeal of the Prime Minister’s message.
Amidst the sea of supporters, voices rose in unison, advocating for a “Majboot Sarkar” (strong government) over a “Majboor Sarkar” (helpless government). Karuna Singh, a Delhi resident, reflected on pivotal moments in Modi’s tenure, expressing gratitude for initiatives such as the Ram Temple consecration and the abrogation of Article 370.
The rally also showcased vibrant cultural performances, with folk artists from Punjab and Haryana entertaining the crowd. Symbolic gestures abounded, with one young boy proudly displaying a sketch of PM Modi, while others adorned saffron attire, adorned with the BJP’s lotus symbol.
Ram Maheshwari, a resident of Dwarka, highlighted the transformative impact of government schemes, emphasizing the importance of voting with a sense of national unity and pride. “Our vote is for nationalism, Ram Temple, and for the unity of the nation,” he affirmed, encapsulating the prevailing sentiment among attendees.
