In a bold move, Apple declared its intention on Tuesday to seek dismissal of an antitrust lawsuit brought forth by the Justice Department and 15 states in March. The lawsuit accused the tech giant of monopolizing the smartphone market, stifling smaller competitors, and inflating prices.

In a letter addressed to U.S. District Judge Julien X. Neals, Apple vehemently refuted the allegations, asserting that it operates in a fiercely competitive landscape with well-established rivals. The company emphasized that the lawsuit failed to demonstrate Apple’s capacity to dictate exorbitant prices or manipulate market output in the alleged smartphone sectors.

Highlighting multiple grounds for dismissal, Apple’s stance signals a vigorous defense against what it perceives as unjust accusations. This legal battle is poised to further intensify as Apple endeavors to safeguard its position in the ever-evolving realm of technology and commerce.
