As Prime Minister Narendra Modi gears up for his visit and roadshow in Ayodhya, ex-litigant Iqbal Ansari, known for his involvement in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case, has hailed the last 10 years of Modi’s leadership, expressing his desire to see Modi return as Prime Minister.

Ahead of Modi’s much-anticipated visit to Ayodhya, Ansari spoke to the media, highlighting the positive trajectory of Modi’s tenure. He remarked, “PM Modi is fortunate that his journey begins from the city of Ram.”

In January this year, Ansari was among the distinguished guests invited to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya. His residence in Kotia Panjitola near the Ram Path received the ceremonial invitation, showcasing the inclusive spirit of the event.

Ansari’s presence during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Ayodhya on December 30, where Modi inaugurated a revamped railway station and a new airport in Uttar Pradesh, underscores his continued engagement with significant events in the region.

A staunch advocate for the Babri Masjid cause, Ansari’s participation in the Ram Mandir’s groundbreaking ceremony on August 5, 2020, further exemplifies his inclusive stance. During the ceremony, he emphasized the harmonious coexistence of different religious communities in Ayodhya, reflecting on the city’s cultural richness.

Following the passing of his father Hashim Ansari, the oldest litigant in the land dispute case, Iqbal Ansari assumed a pivotal role in pursuing the legal proceedings. His dedication to the cause underscores his commitment to justice and reconciliation in the region.
