As global travel evolves, Israel emerges as a top destination welcoming Indian tourists with promises of unparalleled experiences, amidst geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

Despite recent unrest, Israel remains steadfast in its assurance of safety and hospitality for Indian travellers, asserting its appeal as a year-round haven. Amruta Bangera, Director of Marketing at Israel Ministry of Tourism (India), emphasized Israel’s commitment to hosting Indian tourists, highlighting the resilience of tourism despite geopolitical challenges.

“Whether amidst conflict or calm, India remains a cherished source market for Israel,” said Bangera in an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18. “In 2023, we welcomed 41,800 Indian tourists among 3.1 million global visitors, underscoring our enduring popularity.”

Bangera extolled Israel’s diverse attractions, from vibrant urban life in Tel Aviv akin to Mumbai, to natural wonders spanning snowy peaks and desert landscapes. She noted the resumption of flight services facilitating easier access for Indian travellers, emphasizing safety measures and robust medical services for tourists.

Acknowledging past incidents, Bangera affirmed Israel’s preparedness and commitment to ensuring memorable experiences, from beachside relaxation to historical exploration and unique desert safaris. Plans for streamlined visa facilities and opportunities to combine visits with neighboring countries further enhance Israel’s appeal.

Highlighting bilateral ties, Bangera highlighted Israeli travelers’ affinity for India’s cultural diversity, paralleling India’s embrace of Israeli visitors. “Just as Israelis explore India from north to south, we invite Indians to discover the richness of Israel,” she concluded, inviting Indian travellers to embark on transformative journeys across Israel’s landscapes.
