A wave of bomb threats targeting more than 50 hospitals in Mumbai, including prominent names like Jaslok, Raheja, and KEM, has sparked a major security response from local authorities. The threats, delivered via email and routed through a VPN network to conceal the sender’s identity, have raised concerns across the city.

Authorities, including Mumbai Police, are currently investigating the incident to determine the origin and motive behind the threats. Reports indicate that a similar hoax also targeted Mumbai’s Hinduja College of Commerce, prompting swift action from law enforcement and bomb squads.

The situation mirrors a series of threats received by 41 airports nationwide on the same day, from Chennai to Patna and Jaipur. Each threat, claiming explosives were present and imminent danger was posed, was ultimately deemed a hoax after extensive anti-sabotage checks.

In response to the threats, airports like Nagpur and Patna conducted thorough searches but found no evidence of explosives. At Chennai airport, a flight to Dubai faced delays due to security measures prompted by the email threat.

As investigations continue into these coordinated threats, authorities remain vigilant, emphasizing the need for thorough precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
