Pax Jolie-Pitt, the 20-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, was rushed to the hospital with a head injury following a serious bike crash in Los Angeles on Monday, July 29. Pax collided with the rear of a car while riding his bike down Los Feliz Boulevard around 5 p.m.
At the time of the accident, Pax was reportedly not wearing a helmet. He was taken to a nearby hospital with a head injury and complaints of hip pain, according to TMZ. Doctors initially feared he might have a minor brain bleed, but he is now in stable condition and expected to be discharged by Tuesday, July 30.
The crash occurred when Pax’s bike hit a stationary car that was waiting at a red light. The driver of the car immediately checked on Pax, and emergency services soon arrived at the scene. While it’s unclear exactly how Pax hit the car, witnesses say he appeared to injure his head.
Pax is one of six children that Jolie and Pitt share. Their other children include Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15. While Shiloh and the twins were born to the couple, the other children were adopted.
In recent years, Jolie and Pitt’s relationship has been strained, with Jolie alleging in October 2022 that Pitt had been physically abusive during a 2016 flight.
