The serene journey turned into a nightmare when terrorists unleashed gunfire upon the bus near Teryath village in Poni area. The assailants’ assault caused the bus driver to lose control, sending the vehicle hurtling into a deep gorge. The devastating outcome claimed ten precious lives and left many others injured, as confirmed by the authorities.
Reacting swiftly to the unfolding tragedy, officials launched a massive rescue operation, swiftly mobilizing police, army, and paramilitary forces to the scene. Amid the chaos, the priority remained on rescuing survivors and providing urgent medical assistance to the injured.
